Abstract
In the article the main components of state participation in the management by gas complex are viewed, the analysis of state of gas industry of Russia is carried out. The peculiarities of development of economic policy of state in the gas industry of the Russian Federation are singled out. The strategy of development of fuel and energy complex, as well as economic policy in the field of development of new deposits is defined. The scale of government involvement in regulation of activity of the gas complex is high as natural gas is the only type of fuel-energy resource, the price of which is determined not by the market, but directive method.
