Abstract
In the article the state of domestic mechanical engineering in crisis and post-crisis period is analyzed, current state of domestic mechanical engineering sector is viewed, basic positive and negative tendencies are revealed. In particular, it is pointed out that the cause of sharp decrease of economic indicators is high level of dependance of results of economic activity of mechanical engineering enterprises from financial solvency of client organizations whose request serves as a landmark. A number of measures that promote solving local crisis problems as well as long-term development of mechanical engineering.
