Abstract
In the article the assessment of arrangements on placing the football stadium in the urban district of Samara for the carrying out of the FIFA World Cup in 2018 is viewed. The assessment is carried out through the prism of social aspect: perspectives and problems of realization and further exploitation of the given athletic facility for the citizens of the urban district, for the economy of municipality and for the deevlopment of the city territory.
