Abstract
The paper presents a comparative assessment of prospects of development of domestic and foreign aircraft engine building, problems, intensification of which is possible at Russia’s joining to the World Trade Organization are discussed, and the main elements of mechanism of increasing efficiency in production and operation of engines through the improvement of cost management, which will increase the competitiveness of our aircrafts.
