Abstract
The toxicity and cytogenetic activity for Allium fistulosum were investigated for six imidazole derivates 4-(1-Н-benzotriazole-1-ilmetyl)phenol, 1-benzylbenzotriazole, 1-[4-(benzyloxy)benzyl]-1H-benzotriazol, 1-[2-(benzyloxy)benzyl]-1H-benzotriazole, 2-(1-Н-benzotriazole-1-ilmetyl)phenol, 1-[4-(3-fenolpropoxy)benzyl]-1-Нbenzotriazole. The substances with OH- and benzyl groups in para-position were more toxic. Depending on their molecular structure the substances blocked the proliferative activity on different mitosis stages. All the substances demonstrated mutagenic activity. The role of molecular structure in biological answer development is discussed in the article.
