Abstract
In the scientific literature there are discussions about the construction of a digital society. A number of scientists formulate proposals on the fact that this is a new concept of the information society, while others refer to a new structure of the economy. The article analyzes the conditions for the creation of a digital economy in the Russian Federation, suggests the direction of its construction, and specifies the features of its development.
The authors reveals the main problems that hamper the successful implementation of the digital society and suggests development directions, by creating a digital platform.
