Abstract
The subject of analysis in the article is the concept «ideal type» in the economic theory. The role of procedures of idealization, abstraction and designing in the formation of theoretical model of «homo economicus» is shown. The special attention is given to demarcation of theoretical model of the person and the image of the person in the economic theory.
