Abstract

The paper discusses results of fire tests of the experimental combustion chamber for perspective liquid rocket engine with cooling by liquid oxygen without inner cooling. The correspondence between obtained experimental data and design parameters have shown. It is concluded that the cooling of cryogenic oxygen is reliable. Even with a leakage path of cooling the combustion chamber of serious damage or structural failure does not occur. During the fire tests the presence of leaks in the fire wall of the combustion chamber does not lead to the destruction of structure.
