At the morphological level, the news text is marked by an abundance of passive verb forms and constructions with the passive participle II, as well as with the сontinuous verbal forms. At the lexical level, there are terminological units, ergonyms, and anthroponyms. The high cliched content of news texts is particularly emphasized. At the syntactic level, there is an abundance of narrative sentences and a variety of sentence types, including simple, compound, and compound sentences, as well as mixed-type sentences. The authors also analyze the structural components of the news text. The article provides a comparative analysis of the features of English-language and Russian-language news texts from the Internet portal www.BBCNEWS.com.</p>новостной дискурсновостьмасс медиаязыковые особенностиструктурные особенностиnewsdiscoursenewsmass media
