Mistakes and inaccuracies are established in the translation of the monument with the example of D. S. Likhachev and V. A. Zhukovskys texts. The two translations are compared, the author's features of the translation are revealed, the translated language units are analyzed in their comparison with the text of the first edition of the monument. Much attention is paid to the analysis of some "dark" places of the The Tale of Igor's Campaign. An analysis of the transformations of the text leads to the conclusion that the translated text can change the understanding and perception of the ancient Russian monument.</p>древнерусский языкСлово о полку ИгоревеД.
