The analysis is based on 100 samples of English spam emails selected in the Internet by a continuous sampling method. The methods of contextual and linguostylistic analysis are applied to systematizing multi-level means of manipulation. Besides, the overall effect of these means on the recipient is described. Manipulative techniques are distinguished on all the levels of textual organization including morphology, vocabulary, syntax, as well as at the level of stylistic organization of the text.
