Abstract

Using microfractographic observations the mechanisms of low cycle fatigue crack kinetics in aero engine disks under operating conditions have been established. On this basis the techniques for disc residual life estimation have been developed. The techniques have been verified with the data of crack growth microfractographic reconstitution and crack kinetics direct observation on a disk surface.
