Abstract

The process of electric spark ignition of aluminium particle air suspension is investigated experimentally in a duct with an expansion on the basis of a model of focal thermal ignition. The critical radius of the initial focal point of ignition is specified, the process dynamics is investigated and the influence of turbulence intensity on the development of the place of ignition is established.
