Abstract
The article deals with the history of Russian foreign policy connected with her Far Eastern international problems. The causes of the turn of Eastern Asian Russian policy after Russian-Japanese war of 1904-1905 from confrontation with Japan to «friendship» with this state аnd the turn in the development of AmericanJapanese relations: from their «friendship» to the conflict are analyzed in it. The conflict in California in 1913 is viewed as one of the most key conflicts. The views of Russian diplomats on the American-Japanese conflict both in 1907 and 1913 are given.
