In cognitiveethnolinguistics, stereotypes are considered to be the constituentsof linguistic and cultural representations of the world. The paperfocuses on main hetero-and auto stereotypes of Swabians, an ethnicGerman people. Swabians are now in the focus of media discoursein Germany, this is due to the growth of cross-cultural tensions incertain regions of the country, especially in Berlin.
