Optimal control of the angle of attack of a hypersonic flight vehicle

Bebyakov A.A.

Abstract

The paper presents the solution of the task of optimal control of the angle of attack of a hypersonic flight vehicle (HFV) with minimum fuel consumption. Optimal control programs and flight paths of HFV are determined using the method called «Pontryagin’s maximum principle». Optimal control of the angle of attack is expected to provide minimization of the HFV drag force in the supersonic speed range and the recoil from the dense atmosphere in the hypersonic speed range for the terminal flight path angle of over ten degrees.

Methods of optimal planning of using earth remote sensing space modules in the survey mode

Beznyakov A.M., Gorbulin V.I., Kargu D.L., Fadeev A.S., Scherbakov V.I.

Abstract

The paper is devoted to the optimization of using Earth remote sensing space modules of an orbital system in the survey overview mode for vast areas. It is suggested that the controlled area should be described by a set of non-overlapping Dirichlet domains – spherical polygons with equal circumradii. Each center of a Dirichlet domain (nodal point) is described at any point of time by the priority coefficient which depends on the importance of the area and the length of the time interval after the previous observation of the given point by one of the orbital system satellites. The target function in the optimization task of using Earth remote sensing space modules is the accumulative value of importance coefficients of the node points included in the plan of space modules application. An algorithm for solving the defined problem of combinatorial optimization is proposed taking into account the restrictions on power consumption and volumes of accumulated target information transferred to consumers.

Determination of optimum plans of Earth Remote Sensing spacecraft detailed survey by the use of a graph

Buzuev K.V.

Abstract

The paper deals with planning the observation of a set of routes lying in the swath of an Earth Remote Sensing (ERS) spacecraft. An algorithm of planning a detailed survey of the set of routes is proposed which makes up a complex of possible plans of the routes’ detailed survey in the form of a graph. A description of the detailed survey plans graph is given and the conditions for the existence of graph nodes and edges are specified. Several criteria of optimality are proposed to provide the choice of the optimum detailed survey plan. Optimum detailed survey plans based on the simulation data for a set of six routes are chosen in accordance with each proposed criterion.

Abstract

The paper presents a method of integrated assessment of the efficiency of an orbital inspection space system based on small satellites with electrojet power modules. The main indicators of the system’s efficiency are defined. An algorithm for calculating the coefficient of integrated relative assessment of an orbital inspection system is developed. The approbation of the developed algorithm was carried out in order to define the most efficient variant of creating the system with the given priority coefficients. The results of assessing the system’s efficiency are shown to depend strongly on the values of the coefficients of priority of the indicators.

Mathematical modeling of dynamic processes in a hydraulic drive with a discrete regulator of liquid flow

Shakhmatov Y.V., Gimadiev A.G., Sverbilov V.Y., Sinyakov A.F.

Abstract

The paper presents a mathematical model of a hydraulic drive with a discrete liquid flow regulator in the form of a switched inertial device that has a damper of working medium oscillations at the output. A hydraulic actuator loaded with mass was used as a final control element. Transition processes occurring when the regulator is activated are calculated by modeling the dynamic processes with the help of the Simulink software package. The research shows the impact of the valve operating frequency and pulse ratio on the dynamics and efficiency of the hydraulic drive. It could be concluded that the use of a hydraulic attenuator results in decreasing the level of pressure ripples at the inertial tube input.

Calculation of spatial distribution of energy of a complex radiator

Yevdokimov I.Y., Nikolaenko V.S., Filippov G.S., Yashchenko B.Y.

Abstract

The paper presents the results of calculating spatial distribution of radiant energy from a radiator consisting of a cylindrical source of radiation and two disk reflectors, accordingly, with a diffuse character of radiation and reflection. A program of modeling optical parameters of complex reflectors is used as the basic tool of calculation. The basis for the procedure applied is the iterative-zonal method the essence of which consists in separating the radiating and reflecting systems as well as the light-trapping hemisphere into mentary platforms. The exchange of energy between the platforms is defined by means of a forward stroke beam method. The results of calculation are compared to the experimental data obtained in the course of the model light experiment.

Abstract

The paper describes an antenna based on a conical horn and magnetized gyromagnetic resonator (GR) on a metal screen which is used to measure electrical characteristics of an electromagnetic microwave concentrator. The antenna under study has improved characteristics as compared with a similar structure without a GR: significantly higher gain at low weight and overall dimensions, circular polarization field radiation with high selectivity, electrical switching of the field rotation direction and virtually inertia-free electrical tuning of radiation frequency.
