Method of presenting compressor characteristics in mathematical models of gas turbine enginer

1 1.

Abstract

The paper analyses methods of presenting compressor characteristics in mathematical models of gas turbine engines. A method of specifying a point on the compressor characteristic using cubic interpolation spline is proposed and checked for adequacy. A method of presenting compressor characteristics is described which is intended to be used in modeling systems DVIGw and DVIGwT.

Spatial fluctuations model and average speed limit in dependance of the vibration intensity conditions

.

Abstract

The article contains description of a spatial model of machine fluctuations considering the fluctuations both in longitudinal and diametrical planes. As a result of an equations set displacement, speed and accelerations of the spring weight of the machine are defined. Acceptable average speed is limited by the vibration intensity conditions.

Residual stresses and limiting amplitude of strengthened parts with concentrators in case of asymmetric cycle

1 1.

Abstract

The influence of compressive residual stresses on the limiting amplitude of strengthened parts with concentrators under expansion-compression in case of asymmetric loading cycle is studied. The influence was estimated using the criterion of constructing a diagram of limiting amplitudes of the stress cycle for both strengthened and non-strengthened RTS with concentrators are proposed. It makes possible to predict the increment of the limiting amplitude due to the parts being strengthened. Experimental data are in good agreement with the rated data.

Simulation of a two-dimensional laminar boundary layer using the method «whirl in a cell»

1 1., 1 1.

Abstract

The paper deals with the use of the «whirl in a cell» (WC) method for direct mathematical simulation of a laminar boundary layer. According to the method the processes of convection and those of diffusion both in the free flow and from the surface of the body are considered separately at each step in time. Because of the difference in velocities of diffusion and convection processes integration with different steps in time is used. The velocity profiles obtained are compared with the Blazius solution and the results of other authors. It is shown that using the «WC» method good agreement with Blazius’ results is obtained only in a certain narrow area of Reynolds’ numbers.

The influence of the concentrator type on the dependence of endurance limit of strengthened parts on residual stresses

1 1., 1 1.

Abstract

The paper analyses residual stresses and endurance limit under bending in case of asymmetric cycle of cylindrical specimens and parts made of various materials (30ХГСА, 40Х, Д16Т, steel 45, 12Х18Н10Т) with concentrators of various types. The criterion of average-integral residual stresses was applied to estimate the influence of residual stresses on the endurance limit. This criterion makes it possible to predict the increment of the endurance limit of strengthened parts with various stress concentrators.
