Study of state surface of substances in dual-phase vapor-liquid region

Abstract

Using construction of Carnot cycle for several gases as an example, the model of state surface for substances based on van der Waals model is proposed for detailed consideration by students. This allows the students to study both Carnot cycle and the concept of phase transition of substance in vapor-liquid region.
