Abstract

In this paper we consider the possibility of applying the software package ANSYS Fluent to simulate the combustion process of propane in the conversion of a small-size gas turbine engine to gaseous fuels. The fuel reservoir and the inkjet nozzle have been designed allowing for the combustion chamber peculiarities. We analyzed the influence of the burner design on the integral characteristics of the product. According to the results of numerical simulation recommendations for the practical application of the software package ANSYS Fluent to calculate the combustion of gaseous fuels are developed.
