Abstract

New data on the flow structure and the fundamental characteristics of a direct-flow centrifugal separator are obtained on the basis of experimental and calculation research. The influence of the vortex chamber length, separation slot width, presence or absence of sucking the gathered particles from the container, as well as the size of particles on the efficiency of cleaning gas from mechanical impurities is established.
