Abstract

The article is devoted to the historiosophical views of authors of anti–pagan literature in the Old Russia. The author determines that the main source of this ideas were subjects from «Panarion» of Epiphanius of Salamis which partially derived from «The Book of Jubilees». He concludes that the mythological outlook of scribes in Old Russia is the distinctive feature of anti-pagan literature which makes it to be a very contradictory historical source. The spiritual values but not the authentic phenomena were the main aim for the medieval authors.
