Abstract
The article discusses the book by A. Bitov as narrative which reflects the author’s reflection on the seen spaces of former Soviet Empire, social relations, creative experience of friends, fates of modern civilization. Contacts with creative people are perceived by the author as philosophically meaningful and ethical lessons. Permanent fixation of attention on these lessons provides all the product of its conceptual integrity.
