Abstract

This article, based on research findings, examines theoretical and methodological basis of teaching academic writing for academics. The analysis of “academics’ publication activity” concept presents “academic writing” as a separate educational field. The results of theoretical and methodological findings figure out the necessity of implementation in academics professional development academic writing course based on 4 modules program. The author presents theoretical and methodological basis of teaching academic writing as a theory and experience of incorporating the content, means and methods of teaching academic English for publication purposes.
