Abstract

This article discusses the process of radical changes of the
Institute of journalism. For its treatment the author suggests to use
the sociological definition of deinstitutionalization. The causes of
this process, in particular free access to the information and the
development of technical means that allow retransmitting the same
message in different channels repeatedly. Deinstitutionalization
itself is treated as post modernistic phenomenon, and in the most
general approximation can be described by classical metaphor of
transition from the root consciousness to the rhizome.
Deinstitutionalization engenders a number of problems, such as
the problem of text authorship, the problem of incompetence, the
problem of accuracy of information, etc. that can be investigated
in line of modern social theories.
