REALIZATION OF EVALUATIVE STATUS OF ENGLISH VERB

Abstract

the article the process of actualization of emotional and evaluative meaning of English verb is viewed; it is underlined that the process of actualization of evaluative component of the verb meaning is dependent on the specific structure of its lexical meaning. The greatest number of emotional and evaluative verbs is registered in the sphere of subneutral vocabulary. Emotive meaningfulness of English verb is determined by the processes of semantic transposition, stylistic reference and ethical lowering.
