Abstract

In the article on the example of four Middle Volga dioceses measures on the recovery of their structures in the mid 40-ies of XX century are analyzed. It is revealed that in the period between the Councils all dioceses of the region have received Episcopal Spearheading. In turn, this was the basis for further revival of parochial life and mass opening of Orthodox churches.
