Abstract
In the article the author considers the influence of Pugachev rebellion (1773-1774) on Stavropol Kalmyk army and proves that in this internecine war there was no clear class division among Kalmyks. The irretrievable loss of life and ruined economy became a tragic result of «Pugachev confusion» for the Stavropol Kalmyk army.
