Abstract
The article is devoted to comprehend of a role of historical idea in a sociopolitical life of a society. In this work «the historical consciousness» is proved the status of concept. As a specify definition of this term such categories as «experience of people», «traditions of a history» are analyzed. The special attention is given functions of historical consciousness in socio-historical practice.
