Abstract
The author offers methodological approach to the formation of the system of indicators for the assessment of investment activity of a branch. The analysis of state of volume, dynamic, structural and relative indicators of investment in the Russian light industry was carried out in the article. This allows to compare the state of investment activity in the textile and clothing manufacture and in the production of leather, leather products and footwear, to identify some trends in the development of investment process in these types of activity.
